What to wear for your senior picture session

We get asked this question so often that we thought that it deserves a page all to it self.

Deciding what to wear for your High school senior photography session makes the difference between your pictures looking outstanding not just now but 20 years from now. What we are going for in our photography is a "timeless" look. One that you can look back on and say "I look great" not "look at that dress".

So here are our general pointers for what to wear

 

• Limit your self to to no more that 3 changes (depending on your package)
• Buy new tops or shirts (you want to get new clothes anyway !) make sure that the colors complement your natural coloring and doesn't overpower you
• Select simple patterns and solid colors
• Darker colors and earth tones are usually better that brighter colors
• NO logos or marks (ask your parents what they feel about their Sasson jeans and izod shirt now)
• Wear long sleeves
• Keep jewelry simple (guys no GRILLS)
• Guys get haircuts 2 days BEFORE your session and shave the day of the session
• Ladies - Hair done as close to the session time as possible. Makeup should be simple and not overpowering. If you are having makeup done tell them that it is for a photography session. Better yet use our professional makeup artist
